I am not a fan of chicken wings before. I wonder why most people have been choosing chicken wings as their favorite chicken part.
I assumed before that my favorite chicken parts are thigh and gizzard. But after making these sweet and sour oven baked wings, i start to get a strong connection with wings.
•Wings of three chickens
•1 tablespoon oil
•¼ cup soy sauce
•2 tablespoon ketchup
•3 cloves garlic, minced
•¼ teaspoon ground coriander seeds
•2 seasoning cubes
•1 teaspoon lemon juice
•Salt and pepper to taste
•Toasted sesame seed for garnishing
•1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
•In a large bowl, combine chicken wings with minced garlic, salt, ground coriander, ground seasoning cubes and pepper. Add lemon juice and ketchup.
•Add soy sauce
•Add oil. To get a more caramelized chicken wings, i added sugar at this stage.
•Put on a hand glove and mix all the ingredients with the chicken.
•Mix well so that all the yummy spices get absorbed by the chicken.
•Wings are ready for marinating.
•Tranfer wings into an airtight bowl and cover it. Marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350F
•Grease a baking pan with oil, transfer wings to the pan and bake for 50 minutes or until fully cooked.
Remove from oven. To make it more presentable, garnish with roasted sesame seeds or spring onions.
